I joined the Google Brain team in 2015. Earlier at Google I developed the first deep learning models for Gmail Spam detection, YouTube comments, and the Perspective API. I first got into machine learning as an undergraduate doing research with Radford Neal and Brendan Frey (both advising me in graduate school) and as a member of the University of Toronto machine learning group.
