
Tom Duerig
Tom Duerig is a Software engineer and manager within Perception's Media Understanding group in Google Research. Before joining Perception, he worked on Image Search both on image content understanding for ranking and Reverse Image Search. From 2007 to 2009 he was a full-stack engineer on Google's Custom Search Engines. He received a master's degree from UC San Diego where he studied high performance computing and computer vision and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz. He is passionate about Computer Vision, creative sources of machine learning supervision and high performance large-scale systems.
