Open Buildings is a large-scale open dataset that contains the outlines of buildings derived from high-resolution satellite imagery in order to support these types of uses.

After watching the video, consider these questions for a class discussion:

  • How does the open Buildings project help the planet using AI?
  • What problem in your community (at school, in your neighborhood, or for the environment) could AI help solve?
  • What data were used to train this AI system?
  • Where do people make important decisions in this process?
