Building footprints are useful for a range of important applications, from population estimation, urban planning and humanitarian response, to environmental and climate science. Open Buildings is a large-scale open dataset that contains the outlines of buildings derived from high-resolution satellite imagery in order to support these types of uses.

Wildfires: from research to real-world AI solutions

Ages 10-15, 35-45 min. An in-class experience, students get hands-on experience learning how AI can help detect wildfires. They build their own wildfire detection models using Teachable Machine.
