I am a Software Engineer at Google Seattle, where I work on Chrome for Emerging Markets. I earned my PhD at the University of Washington with Gaetano Borriello and Richard Anderson. My PhD thesis was on designing and building technology in emerging markets. This saw me working with a number of health and aid organizations around the world. Before moving to Computer Science I was a neuroscientist, and I earned an MPhil in Neuroscience with Robin Franklin at the University of Cambridge on a Gates Scholarship.
