About
Iulia is passionate about artificial intelligence and neuroscience. She has a BSc in Computer Science from Babeș-Bolyai University and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge. During her PhD, she explored computational methods for tracking the dynamics of electrophysiological brain activity during transitions of consciousness. Her current research focuses on biologically-inspired machine learning models, including spiking neural networks. Iulia's hobbies include playing the piano, reading fiction, and astronomy.
