David Lowe

About

David Lowe is a Senior Research Scientist at Google in Seattle. Prior to Google he was a professor of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. He obtained his PhD in computer science from Stanford University and worked as an assistant professor at New York University. He was awarded the PAMI Distinguished Researcher Award in 2015 and the ICCV Helmholtz Prize in 2011. He was a co-founder and Chairman of Cloudburst Research Inc., 2009-2015, a startup company in Vancouver that developed mobile computer vision applications.
