Ali Bashir


Ali Bashir is a research scientist on the Google Accelerated Science team. His research interests include applying machine learning approaches to multi-omics datasets as well as developing novel ‘omic’ technologies through the integration of computational and experimental techniques. Ali received his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from UCSD studying genome rearrangements in cancer. Previously, he studied the genomics of complex human variation and infectious diseases as an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
